What we collect when you buy a ticket or visit one of our event sites, why we hold it, and how to get it removed.
In effect from 5 August 2026
1. Who handles your data
Xekhai Creative Solutions, trading as Tikka, of 2, Alh. Alli Babalola Street, Alakuko Lagos. Reach us at hello@tikka.cloud or +2349079932827.
When you buy a ticket, the event's organizer also holds your details for their event — they receive the attendee list. This policy covers what we do with your data. Once the organizer has it, their own handling is theirs.
2. What we collect
When you buy a ticket or RSVP
- Your name, email address and phone number. All three are required at checkout — the email is where your ticket goes.
- Names and contact details of the people you are buying for, if you choose to add them. This is optional. Leave it blank and every ticket simply shows your name at the door.
- Your order: the event, ticket type, quantity, amount paid, any coupon used, and the payment reference.
When you pay
We never see or store your card details. Card data goes straight to Paystack, our payment processor. We receive only the transaction reference, the amount, and whether the payment succeeded.
At the door
When your QR code is scanned we record that the ticket was admitted, and when. That is what stops the same code being used twice.
When you browse one of our sites
Our own analytics script runs on tikka.cloud and on the event sites we build. It records how pages are used — visits, which site or campaign you arrived from, time spent, scroll depth, clicks, which sections came into view, checkout forms started but not finished, and completed purchases — plus your broad device type (mobile, tablet or desktop) derived from your browser's user agent. Organizers see this as page statistics for their event.
It is about how pages are used, not who you are. It does not collect your name or email, and it is not linked to your ticket order.
3. Cookies and what we store on your device
We do not use cookies. Three things are stored locally by your browser:
tikka_vid(local storage)- A random identifier so repeat visits from the same browser are not counted as new people. It contains nothing about you.
tikka_sid_…(session storage)- Groups one visit together. Your browser discards it when you close the tab.
- Sound preference (local storage)
- Remembers whether you turned this site's sound effects off.
Clearing your browser's site data removes all three. None of them track you across other people's websites.
4. Why we hold it
- To issue and deliver your ticket — the core of what you paid for.
- To admit you, and to stop one code being used twice.
- To support you — resending a ticket, checking a payment, handling a refund.
- To report to the organizer — the attendee list for their event and sales figures, which we are contractually required to provide.
- To detect fraud and duplicate admission, and to keep the accounting and tax records we are required by law to keep.
We do not sell your data, and we do not send you marketing you did not ask for. The emails we send about an order are the ticket itself and things you need to know about that event.
5. Who we share it with
- The event organizer
- The attendee list and sales reporting for their own event.
- Paystack
- Processes the payment and holds the card data we never see.
- Amazon Web Services
- Sends your ticket email, and stores it in transit.
- Google Firebase
- Stores event, order and ticket records.
These providers act on our instructions and may store data outside Nigeria. We share data with anyone else only where the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
Order and ticket records are kept while the event is upcoming and afterwards for as long as we need them for support, refunds, chargebacks and the accounting and tax records we are legally required to hold. Analytics is kept as aggregate page statistics. Ask us to delete your details and we will, except where the law requires us to keep a record of the transaction.
7. Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to show you the data we hold on you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it in a particular way. Email hello@tikka.cloud and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm the email address on the order first, so we do not hand your details to someone else.
If you think we have handled your data badly, tell us and we will try to fix it. You are also entitled to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
8. Children
Our sites are not aimed at children, and many events we ticket are 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If a child's details have reached us, tell us and we will remove them.
9. Security
Traffic to our sites and API is encrypted in transit. Access to order and attendee data is restricted to the people who need it to run the event. Ticket codes are random rather than sequential, so holding one ticket does not let anyone derive another. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects you we will tell you.
10. Changes
We will update this page when what we do changes, and the date at the top will tell you when it last did.
