Refunds & Cancellations
Each event sets its own refund terms, and you see them at checkout before you pay. If an event is cancelled, you get your money back.
In effect from 5 August 2026
1. Who you are buying from
Tickets on Tikka are sold by Xekhai Creative Solutions, trading as Tikka, acting as the contracted ticketing operator for the event organizer. We take the payment, issue your ticket, and handle refunds. The organizer is responsible for the event itself — the venue, the line-up and whether it goes ahead as advertised.
2. The policy for your event
The refund policy is agreed with each organizer and displayed at that event's checkout. Read it before you pay — it is the policy that governs your ticket, and it may be more generous than the default below.
Where an event sets no other terms, tickets are non-refundable once bought, except where the event is cancelled or a refund is required by law.
Events are priced and stocked for a fixed date, and a ticket taken off sale is one another attendee could not buy — that is why the default is what it is. It is a default, not a blanket rule: the situations below are refunded regardless of what an event's terms say.
3. When you will always get a refund
- The event is cancelled. You are refunded the full ticket price. You do not need to ask — we contact every ticket holder on the order email.
- You were charged but got no ticket. If your card was debited and no ticket email arrived, tell us and we will check the payment against our records and refund any charge that did not produce a ticket.
- You were charged twice for the same ticket. Duplicate charges are refunded in full.
If an event's date, venue or line-up changes materially after you bought, contact us. Your ticket stays valid for the event as changed, and we will put a refund request to the organizer under the terms agreed for that event.
4. How to request a refund
Email hello@tikka.cloud with:
- the event name;
- the email address you bought with;
- your order or ticket reference, from your ticket email; and
- what went wrong.
You can also reach us on +2349079932827. Requests should reach us before the event where possible — once a ticket has been scanned in at the door it has been used, and cannot be refunded.
5. How long it takes
- We acknowledge your request
- Within 2 business days
- We submit an approved refund
- Within 5 business days of approving it
- The money reaches your account
- Usually 5–10 business days after that, depending on your bank
Refunds go back to the card or account you paid from, through Paystack. We cannot send a refund anywhere else, and we cannot control how quickly your bank posts it once Paystack has released it.
6. Chargebacks
If something has gone wrong with a payment, please come to us first — we can almost always resolve it faster than a chargeback, which takes your bank weeks and can invalidate a ticket you still intend to use. Raising a chargeback on a ticket that was validly issued and used may lead us to refuse future sales.
